InkySPA LLC was founded by Professional Tattoo Artist & Licensed Esthetician Katisha Farrell from the south side of Chicago, IL also known as "Ink by Tisha" in the Tattoo industry, a self-taught artist, Katisha earned her reputation as the "Cover-Up Queen of Chicago" through her unparalleled skill in transforming old tattoos into stunning works of art. Specializing in Custom Neo-Traditional Color, Black & Gray, and Cover-Up Tattoos, Tisha's mission is to redefine the traditional tattoo experience by offering a personalized and unique approach that integrates top-notch skincare services. Katisha's journey into tattooing began over a decade ago, during her college years, when she sought to explore new avenues of creative expression into the world of body art and tattooing - a decision that would shape her future in profound ways. From humble beginnings tattooing out of her grandmother's basement, Katisha's passion, dedication and talent propelled her forward and quicky garned attention. She embraced every opportunity to learn and grow in the industry, traveling and attending tattoo conventions, refining her craft, immersing herself in the tattoo community and soaking in inspiration from artists worldwide.​​

Katisha's journey reached new heights when she elevated her artistry to new dimensions and found herself amidst the vibrant tattoo scene of Las Vegas. In 2020 she joined the renowned Black Ink Chicago 9MAG Tattoo Shop working alongside industry titans like Ryan Henry, Shogun, Ace Tats, and a roster of esteemed talented artists in Chicago. Her time at 9MAG solidified her reputation as a master of her craft, leaving an indelible mark on the Chicago tattoo landscape.​

In 2022, Tisha was featured in her first newspaper article The Columbia Chronicle of Chicago, where she was recognized as the “Cover-Up Queen of Chicago” at the 2022 Villain Arts Tattoo Convention in Rosemont, IL. Katisha stood out among her peers as the only Black Female Tattoo Artist they could find and was recognized for her trailblazing contributions. This publication marked a significant milestone in her career, highlighting her impact in an industry where diversity has often been overlooked.​​​​​​​​​
